Letters from the sunset

Mah ha ha... I bye passed the system... for now anyway. There are a few things I have to say first Kal don't be so quick to judge Draco... in other words stop spoiling my story! Jk jk but you may want to re-evaluate the notion that Draco is evil and even that he's not normal cause yeah never know. Anyway now that you guys gave me a slight confident boost... on with my story!
The door swings open and there is his mother, if I didn't say it already she's gorgeous. Long black hair that shines down her back, she wears a dazzling knee length red dress. The deep v-neck is embellished with beautiful black stitching and beads. Draco pulls open the door and she waves to me.
"Hello Pearrrrl."
"Good evening." I remember my manners. She smiles and usher's us inside the huge house. I wonder if I'll get to meet Draco's father and little brother. I know his little brothers sick and doesn't go to school. She leads us to their living room and the door creeks open. There, above the fire place a big banner says "Happy birfday Pearl" in big scrawling print. A smile creeps over Draco's mothers face.
"He wanted so much to greet you but Cygnus feel asleep just before you came." Her face is kind and loving as she says this.
I sit with Draco as his mother runs to the kitchen. We sit in silence and I wonder exactly where his thoughts are.
"Draco?" He nods. "Whats wrong?"
"Nothing Pearrrrl I just wish my brotherrrr wasn't so sick. He makes mama so worrried."
"Is there no cure?" I wish I hadn't asked. His face tightens and the soft look leaves his eyes.
I gaze uncomfortably around the dimly lit room. 2 black leather couches and a matching leather armchair, 3 tall bookcases and countless old portraits line the walls. A huge mahogany table is waiting for us. Before he can answer his mama bustles in with a tray of steaming something. She See's me eyeing it up and laughs.
"It's a spring roll."
"All I know is it isn't glorp log" We all laugh. I pick up the strange little tube of pastry and bite into it. A strange tast floods my mouth. "mmmm real food" and we all laugh harder.
"We arrrrre almost rrready to eat, we'rrrre just waiting forrr Papa." Draco purrs in my ear as his mother bustles out again. It's silent for awlee and Draco excuses himself to take the plate back to his mother. I sit and wait for him. My heart leaps into my throat when the door is pushed back on its hinges. It creeks loudly and a little boy wanders in. He's pale, deathly pale. His skin is almost transparent. He clutches tightly to a book.
"Hello Pearrrrl." His voice is so soft I have to lean forward to hear him. "Will you read to me?"
He climbs into my lap and hands me the book. I read to him about a Bunny rabbit (whatever that is, I have a faint memory of a earth holiday) that is a vampire. Several days ago I found a book in my locker called Dracula and the 2 books sound similar. But Dracula is about a man not a rabbit. We read on until Cygnus falls asleep in my lap. I Finnish reading the book while I wait for Draco. When I look up I see Draco, his mother and father, tears shining in their eyes standing in the door way.
"I'm I'm sorry." I stammer.
"What for?" Draco's Papa's voice is deep and even like his son's. "This is a gift you have given us! Cygnus hasn't come out of his bed in 2 weeks." I look down at the sleeping child in my lap. Draco sits beside me on the sofa and his father sets the table. Cygnus wakes up and starts to cry.
"whats wrong ?" Draco's mother is beside us in a minute.
"I wanna sit at the table with Pearrrl." with shaking hands she rushes out to set another place at the table. Draco takes my hand and we start to talk about the teachers in our school. His father comes in and leads us to the table carrying Cygnus.
As we eat Draco's family asks me questions and Cygnus watches me eat.
"So where were you born?"
"On earth." They look at me surprised.
"I was sent here after my father left my mother and she thought there was going to be a war."
They nod. "Both my parents where scientists." Draco's father looks at me with his intense stare and the words die on my tongue. Thankfully we can pretend to be to busy chewing to talk.
"This is really good Mrs. Tega. Um what is it?"
"the white lumps are mashed potatoes, the green stuff is asparagus and the other thing is..."
"chicken!" I almost yell
"Yes its chicken."
"I used to love chicken. I love yours Mrs. Tega." A happy mood descends on our dinner and stays until the desert when a strange thought occurs to me. "Hey Draco why do you and your brother have star names if you guys where born on earth." The room falls silent. Cygnus left during supper and we are just finishing off a desert called ice cream as we lounge in the leather sofas. Mrs. Tega talks first.
"Pearl there are secr..."
Mr. Tega's hand clamps around her mouth. And he whispers something into her ear. She nods at Draco and he puts a hand on my neck. Very slowly he takes my pules then writes out a note.
Are you wearing any
jewelry from your aunt?
Nod if you are.
I nod and point to my earrings he pulls them out and crushes them. I realize if they where trakkers he just destroyed my last hope for help if I get in trouble.

"first date clothing" I say into the tiny microphone. I shudder at the files of clothing it pulls up. "uh hem with the parents" This time clothing that doesn't look like I would freeze to death in comes up. I settle for a green skirts and a white corset top with no sleeves. As a last thought I slip a pair of jeans underneath. I grab a brush and feverishly drag it threw my long thick black hair. My holo-gramer snaps to life as a incoming call rings in.
"hello?" Oriyans face grins at me.
"hey" I smile ( its a new habit)
"You look...." he trails off "amazing. You did that just for me?" he asks.
I stare blankly at him.
"Pearl, remember?"
I think my mouth hits the floor. Of course, last year I was so depressed on my birthday he promised to take me to see Indus. Its my birthday today. No matter how happy I have become I still remembered. My birthday was the day I was sent to space, it was the day I found out my mother died, it was the day I found out my father left my mother for another woman, it was the day I had to grow up and tell my self my family was gone. Every last person except Aunt Urisa,
I freeze.
Urisa
Urisa is a constellation. I never noticed before but my aunt has a constellation for a name. That can't be true! She has to be my aunt. But I get no time to dwell on my mounting confusing. I have to tell Oriyan something...but what?
"I um, I'm spending my birthday with my aunt this year" I stammer out a weak reply.
His face falls "Its okay then I know you need to be near your family"
His image disappears.
I feel terrible. I just lied to one of my only friends. Oriyan has always been there for me. But the door bell rings interrupting my thoughts. I take a big breath and answer the door.
"Pearrrrrrrl" Dracco purrs my name and I melt inside. He stands a little box in hand, black button up shirt and blue jeans. "Happy birrrrrthday" Why does it sound so much better when he says it? He pulls me into a bear hug "time for you to meet Papa"
I smile and jump into his star cruiser. Ultra chique, Ultra cool. Just like him.
He types in where he wants to go and we're off. He slides next to me and pushes the box into my lap. "Open it!"
"Okay, okay" Very slowly to tease him I unwrap the beautiful box. I almost cry when I see it. He has managed somehow to get his hands on a set of pearls. They remind me of my earth memory, snow. I pull them from the box mesmerised by their glossy shine. On the middle of the string is a purple pearl. A single purple pearl. He takes the necklace from my hands "These arrrre all the otherrrrr girrrrrls in the worrrrld, all the same and boring." he says stroking the white ones. "and this is you. Yourrr unique, you arre amazing and you look the best to me."
I am biting my lip to keep from crying now. But great big tears spring from my eyes.
:you don't like it?" he asks
"NO I love it, its just so perfect."
"If its perrrrfect then it it suits you."
He hugs me tightly and kisses my nose.
"stop crrrying or mama will think I'm bad to you."
I laugh.
By the time we're pull up to his door I've got myself together. This will be the best birthday ever.
Oh how wrong I was.

Well I guess y'all want a conclusion to my space story but you will have to sit threw some more before I end it. I know its getting boring but I'll try harder not to be boring. I would have written some more but I've been sick... the flu sucks! Yesterday I woke up and felt like I was gonna be sick... I was, still am but now at least I can sit up with out crying.

I get home before my aunt, she's probably still at work. I don't really know what she does, I was too wrapped up in self pity to care but now, I'm curious. The space around me seems so full of life! I run up the stairs and throw back the blinds of my window, which I laugh at, I painted them black. Before me is the dwarf planet Spenta it revolves around the second sun of the Andromeda Galaxy 25 times in a minuet. Which is totally amazing! The rings around it tilt and wobble as it spins like a amusement fair ride. They are impossible to see because they move so fast. The body of the planet is a word that belongs to earth, rainbow. Its like the blue of the sea I grew up by, with my mother and father. The green reminds me of my mothers eyes they where like the emerald of the grass on a cool summers day.

I remember a night, I was supposed to be asleep but I couldn't sleep. Excitement filled me and I wriggled beneath the heavy covers of my winters blanket. The moon cast pools of silver light around my cozy blue room. I hear my mother and father's voice's drift up the long winding stair case and float around my room. I could just tell something important was going to happen.
My mother steals into my room and checks behind her as if scared. She stands in my doorway moonlight dapples her cheeks and shes wearing the new dress papa bought her. Her eyes are full of fear and she bites her nails. As she turns to go I see she has a needle clutched in her smooth, slender hand.
I hear our old oak door shut and my fathers foot steps on the marble floor. He strides in to my room muttering. "Bloody woman can't do it so I guess I'll have to do it my self" He grabs my arm and pulls hard.
Slowly he injects a purply liquid.

Spenta swirls in front of my eyes and I feel for my right arm. There, a permanent black bruise from injections of the purple liquid. I remember how much I hated him for giving them to him. I couldn't sit up in the mornings when he gave them to me. Them my mother would come in and see my pale, ghostly face and huge salts tears would slid down her face. She would take me in her embrace and I would wounder why they where doing this to me.
Then one day the injections stopped, he left.

I catch myself before I slip back into my self pity. I have a date to get to! Quickly I shower away my sad feelings. Standing in my towel and dripping on my carpeted floor I wounder what in the hell to wear? I'm not very good at assembling a wardrobe. Like a match flare in the dark it hits me. I rush over to the calculator sized computer hooked into the wall. I got it for my birthday, a pang of sadness overwhelms me as I realize how soon it is.
But I chase those depressing thoughts away and try to remember how to work my auto-mated wardrobe.
